it started with a headache.
the kind you get from lying back in a car seat with a hard plastic claw clip wedged between your skull and the headrest. you shift, you re-clip, you give up and take your hair down.
we kept buying clips that looked good and hurt, or felt fine and snapped within a week. after enough sore spots and broken teeth, we stopped shopping and started moulding.
lobaba clips come out of the mould in one piece of TPEE, a soft-touch elastomer that flexes instead of cracking. the same give that makes the clip kind to your scalp is what lets it survive the bottom of a bag, a car door and a driveway. we ran one over on camera. it bounced back.
today that is one completely flat clip, eleven matte colours, and a high-shine top made to be decorated, so the same clip never has to look the same twice.

none of this is decoration. every one of these started as something that annoyed us about a clip we already owned.
flat all the way through
most claw clips only flatten the handle and leave a hard dome sitting against your head. ours is low-profile end to end, so you can lean back into a headrest, a pillow or a plane seat and forget it is there.
bends instead of breaking
one piece of moulded TPEE, no glued joints and no brittle teeth. it flexes past 90 degrees and springs back, which is why it survives bags, car doors and driveways instead of ending up as three sharp pieces.
rounded edges, no scalp digging
every edge that touches you is rounded off. the flat body opens wide for a full twist and closes gently on a thin ponytail, so fine hair and thick hair get the same clip.
a top made to be played with
the flat, high-shine surface is not a styling accident, it is a canvas. deco sheets and 3D stickers go on, peel off clean and go back on again. one clip, as many versions as you feel like.
